Stopped working again, does not work at all

Ive been a subscriber for a few years. The iOS version was really horrible in the beginning. It got better, but now does not work at all. I would quit the app, restart the iPad, but no matter what I do I can not seem to open any of the books any more.

Login screen is broken

As others have noted, the login screen seems to be sized for a desktop. If you can blindly enter your userid and enter your password successfully you are treated to a blank white screen. The good news is that if your login fails, you CAN see the invalid login message (although its obviously not sized right for an iPhone). This app is completely unusable.

Offline Bookbag DOES NOT WORK

I love OReilly, their books, their editorial approach and positioning. They have helped me and many others have tech careers. But ... the main use case for SafariBooks for me is offline reading. And it does not work. More than half the time it opens, pops a dialog saying not connected read offline, and when you tap offline it hangs. CANNOT count on being in the subway and reading my books.

Missing a few key things

A book, especially reference books, need to have the ability to accept highlighting and scribbling of notes. I do that all the time on other ebooks, but Safari books To Go app has no such functionality at all. At best, I can tag or bookmark a page, but it requires me to be online. I just want to highlight a line, not the whole page. I do read on the go, in a plane, at the pool where a connections is hard to come by. Highlights and notes from your desktop does not sync with this. A very poorly designed reader.

Still waiting for a decent app (UPDATE)

I suppose it will never happen now that Safari has a new platform, but this old app was never finished. Even though most of the Safari library seems to be based on ePub, the reader on iPad is limited and amateur. But the biggest problem is why doesnt Safari integrate all its features? I highlighted a book on the web version and wrote lots of notes. These notes and highlights are INVISIBLE on the iPad version. Update: The offline book bag doesnt work either. You might get a few pages, but eventually it fails and says cant connect. Who wrote this stuff?

Offline book bag is off line

The offline book bag feature just straight up does not work. I try to use it when there is no network connection and I just get routed back to the same error dialog. More bad technology from the supposed technology experts. It’s like the Safari website, whose web technology and UX seem to be about 10 years out of date. It’s time for O’Reilly developers to start reading more O’Reilly books.

Broken on iPad pro

Crashes on sign-in on iPad pro. Every time.

Oh My science

I was going to write a really bad review but noticed so many well written bad reviews are already available. This is a really amateurish, badly written app.

Need iPad Pro support!

And why my Corp acct can not be used on Safari Queue app, which is obviously fancy than this, can you sync those two apps?
